Nelson Bros Funeral Services are Melbourne's oldest family-owned funeral directors. With five modern funeral homes across Melbourne suburbs, we maintain the highest standards to provide professional quality care in everything we do.
Our aim is not to be the biggest funeral directors in Melbourne, but to be the best. Five generations of the Nelson family have managed and operated the family business. Today, we remain proudly family owned by Chairman Theo Nelson, and managed by his children, Adrian, Chief Executive Officer of Nelson Bros Funeral Services, and Priscilla, Director of our training company Mortuary & Funeral Educators.
We are strengthened by our outstanding and caring staff who strive to provide the best funeral directing and mortuary care in Melbourne.
Our funeral homes are comfortable and modern with spacious chapels, separate refreshment areas, Wi-Fi enabled, with private arrangement rooms and ample car parking. Nelson Bros is known for its quality funeral fleet of black Rolls Royce vehicles, unique in Australia.

Nelson Bros Bereavement Resource Centre has provided assistance for those in the community dealing with loss and grief since 1987.
In 2010, training institute Mortuary & Funeral Educators came under the Nelson Bros group of companies. It is a leader in funeral service training, education and learning. MFE is one of a select few organisations in Australia to offer certificate qualifications in Embalming.
