Asian Funerals
Established in the Victorian goldfields in the 1850s, Nelson Bros has conducted Buddhist funerals for over 150 years. In particular since the 1970s, many Asian immigrants moved to the western suburbs of Melbourne where we worked closely with them to understand their funeral and cultural requirements.
Today we have close links with Buddhist temples, monks and associations across Melbourne. Our funeral home chapels are transformed into a Buddhist chapel for the funeral.
We also acknowledge that there are many different Buddhist traditions, and we customise each service to meet the requirements of each individual Buddhist family.
Jewish Funerals
Nelson Bros works closely with Bet-Olam Jewish Funerals to provide funeral services for Jewish families.
Bet-Olam Jewish Funerals is the funeral service operated by the Victorian Union for Progressive Judaism. It helps both the Progressive community and those not affiliated with any synagogue.
